BarCamp Central Asia 2009 starts registering participants
The first ‘barcamp’ format conference –open non-commercial educative conference for New Media specialists – BarCamp Central Asia 2009 – will take place in Almaty on April 17-19.
The term invented by web 2.0 creator, Tim O’Reilly, to describe difference between a traditional ‘boring’ conference where you simply just listen and the other one where everyone ideally can become an organizer, speaker, presenter, where the conference is made just as web 2.0 itself – by users, conquers the world. In time being the format has finally come to Central Asia.
BarCamp Central Asia 2009 will gather everybody who makes Kaznet – its users: journalists, programmers, bloggers, web-designers, web-developers, etc. during 3 days they will be presenting their projects, talking about what they are interested, and actively listening to the others from inside and outside the region, learning, exchanging experience, creating the projects, or simply “bettering the web”.
The conference will also have worldwide effect. During a week of the conference’s site existence in the Internet, according to Google Analytics, more than 700 visitors from 31 countries came to visit it.
The registration for participants starts on March, 19th, 2009, at www.barcampkz.net
Participation is free for private person.
